NCO engineered a taylor-made solution allowing to roll a wide range of flats, squares and hexagons with:

- Closed tolerances
- Reduced investment
One of the challenges was represented by the wide range of starting billet/bloom sizes, having a minimum length of 1400 mm
The line mainly consists of:
- Billet handling system at RHF exit side
- Hi-pressure water descalers with in-line adjustable ramps
- Two-High Shiftable Reversing roughing stand, Housing-less type, equipped with bar manipulators, centering devices and adjustable entry/exit roller tables
- Motorized guides for groove-less rolling
- Edging stand with motorized guides
- Crop and cutting to length shears
- Automatic cooling bed
- Automatic stacking system
- Quick rolls changing device
- Hydraulic and Lubrication facilities
- Complete electrical and automation system
Thanks to the possibility to adopt groove-less rolling technology, allowed by the use of fully adjustable entry-exit bar handling systems and of motorized guides, the mill can produce with very short product campaigns at high utilization rate.
The possibility of using H-V reversing rolling, allows to achieve very good product shapes and tolerances
